GREETING CARDS OF BACKYARD BIRDS

​ The class will be a series of five meetings starting September 17 on five consecutive Wednesday mornings through October 15 from 9:00 to noon.
​
Paint a series of beautiful greeting cards, each featuring a different local bird. Using a variety of techniques and tricks creates a good learning experience. You can frame these little paintings or duplicate them to send as cards. Here you can see a few samples.

The Whimsical Animals Greeting Card Class features seven delightful cards offering a variety of watercolor techniques and a bit of mixed media (for free I will provide any materials that are outside the traditional watercolor ones). You'll also get a list of suggestions for captions to include on your cards that relate to the paintings we will do of cats, giraffes, dogs, raccoons, birds, fish, and rabbits,. These cards are suitable for mailing, or duplicating, or framing. See two samples pictured.

Parrot Tulips

In two days, we will paint this extraordinary composition of flamboyant, red parrot tulips edged with showy yellow. Learn how to move from tight control to the smooth blending of colors. Collage Landscape

Using the principles of composition, I will help you create your own lovely landscape. I will provide a huge supply of collage papers at no additonal cost, and you can also bring some of your own. I will give you samples and ideas. To complete the painting, you may be using watercolors or perhaps some other types of media I will supply. I suggest that we work in card-size formats. Here you can see one sample.
